Oh scrap it time has got away from me again....

I am hoping that it is not too late to start a new years resolution tomorrow.....being the 1st of August.

I am pledging to organise the blog and set up a schedule so that I regularly talk to anyone whom pops in occasionally.

But on to what I have been working on...

a little of this

You are my Sunshine is Domi's favourite song at the moment. I will never tire of hearing her sing it. Our little wild child can be the sweetest little songbird. I created this by using all the little left over embellishments that were on my table as I created the classes for Paperific.

Yep I have been asked to teach a double layout at Paperific in August. Please come and have a giggle with me in August ,Also the class kit rocks, lots of Scrapware (my favourite product).
I am going to be a little naughty and sneak a little peek in here. I will also be teaching another class.. more details soon on that one.

Another layout and more scrapware (surprise surprise)
This layout is my new favourite. I used a twig from a dead tree out the back and attached some of the paper diecut K&company birds and stamped a prima nest, glimmermisted and I love this layout....it is not very often that I say I love a layout but I really do.

And just to show you that I can use another product outside of Scrapware, here is one of the few that doesn't use even a tiny sliver of chipboard.

Well thats it from me I am off to clean the studio and practice my mantra.....
I will write more often.

Holidays end....

I am always a little sadder when the holidays come to an end. I love the june/july holidays mainly because I love winter... more to the point I love winter at the Beach.

There is nobody around and you can have the whole beach to yourself, to run around and be silly.A great way to spend two weeks with the kids.

But I am home now and it is time to get this little piece of the world moving. I have been so busy with magazine commitments that the blog grinded to a halt quite abruptly.

So a little recap..

I had SIA where 9 layouts were picked up for publication

I had two layouts feature in Nic Howards 12 Dimensional Details BPS course...
yeah... I am so in awe of this lady. Was like a love struck teenager when she emailed me...

I am now Officially a DIVA... and I am not saying that tongue in cheek, just so excited to be named amongst some big names as one of Scrapbook Creations Design DIVAS (more about that later)

A couple more layouts picked up by overseas Magazine

56 fortieth birthday invites for my dear friend Sarah

Making plans to re-open Scraptapestry.. yipppeeeee

and a holiday, or should I say a holiday for the kids a change of venue for mumma as I still washed cleaned and cooked.

Now enough talk, time to share some scrapping creations that I can share..

Now it is Christmas over at scrapware and I have been a busy little elf creating these

and making some ornaments Scrapware style...

and finally my favourite little creation the advent Calendar of a different kind..

Over the coming weeks I am going to make 25 of these in preparation for christmas... so quick and easy. stay tuned for these.
But in the mean time I need to go and have a sleep and dream of sweet creations

talk to you soon

Has it really been that long....

It cannot possibly be nearly a month.

But it has. I have been so busy completing lots of layouts for Ange and SIA , farewelling a good friend whom suddenly passed away and dealing with life. It has quite literally been the month from hell but I cannot dwell on it I'll just squeeze the kids, tell them everyday that I love them and slowly move forward.

On a happier note I have been scrapping and some I can show you and others will be coming out in magazines shortly....BONUS. Very happy about that.

So here are some of the layouts I have been making all with Scrapware and it has been so long I have no idea what number I am up to in Project 500 but I am uploading so that is a start...

so I reakon that might do me for tonight I am off to bed and up tomorrow for a RUN. In training for the Melbourne half Marathon in October as a way to get fit and lose a few kilos... Trying to coaxs Ange in to running as well. I told her if all else fails there are numerous places along the course that we can stop in for a glass of bubbles or two.

Oh the holidays are flying

I cannot believe I will be sending the kids back to school next week.

We hav just come back from a week at the beach. OMG I wish I lived closer to the beach I love the smell, the sand, the ocean just everything really. The kids have been sick with some little lurgy but they still were a pleasure to be around cause they adore the beach.

They fished and it inspired the next layout which I through together tonight

Lots of layering and distressing in this layout I am trying out new things and trying to move outside my comfort zone which I think is alittle limited at times.
I used one of Scrapware's older but gorgeous flourishes and of course I chopped it up ....

Is one I did for last weeks scrapware blog using the monsters.... and a really big kapow.

It must be a boy night.
Another Fletcher layout....
This one is also up on the scrapware blog promoting all those wonderful little journal blocks Ange has.

As I fill in all the links to the blog I reakon I should just highlight the whole post... So please pop over there and say hello to Ange and the girls or join up to the ning group.

just another link for you... hehehehe

I have to go to bed off to healesville tomorrow with the kids

I can finish now...

Dom is asleep, so is Fletcher, Cordy is having a sleep over at Nanna's and Timmy is at a bucks party....

So I can finish the post...

PROJECT SCRAPWARE#10 - His LIttle Princess

Love these flourishes... It is not like me to use both of them on the one layout but I needed to make a corner type configuration. I also love that paper from crate paper. so girly... I did another layout in that paper but I cant show you that one yet.....

PROJECT SCRAPWARE #11 - UNO battles before 7am

Bright and cheerpy this one photo's were not the best, very grainy but sometimes you just have to go with what you've got to get the story down.
The journalling will be on blocks of white cardstock running down the left hand side. For this one I have used a Scrapware speech bubble and a round chipboard circle which I covered with a Jilly bean spot.

PROJECT SCRAPWARE #12 - Goodbye Two

The last and final share until Monday. No layout is complete until it has a hidden journal area to squeeze another photo in. In this layout we have a transparent window also.
Lisa's beautiful butterflies swoop across the page I found them on cleaning Ange's scrapbooking supplies that she left at my place....Thanks Ange they go perfectly on the page.
The tiny little butterflies are a Martha Stewart punch (those little ones are devine, so weeny)

Have a great weekend...

and Fletcher ROCKED this morning..

So proud of Master Fletch. They won their Basketball grandfinal by a massive one point.
Final score 11 to 10 a really fast game that had everyone standing and cheering and groaning for the entire 40 mins.

I am going to have tomorrow, being Sunday off the blogging and spend it with the kids and husband but I will share some Scrapware goodness for the weekend. I have just photographed 10 layouts but I cannot share the majority cause they either have new product on them or I need them for my Design Team commitments.

so to boost my tally for the week
I love this page... I did it awhile ago and it had been living at my local Scrapbooking store and I only just recieved it back. I so love that basic grey paper range and the martha Stewart glitter matched perfectly. I made the Acetate butterflies by stamping and embossing two sizes of butterflies and then sewing them together. Add a bit of light stamping and there you have it a very simple layout.

PROJECT SCRAPWARE #9
Another example of combining scrapware and stamping and of course the using of glitter.

I have a few more to share but Dominique is demanding to watch Mickey mouse on the computer... got to go

Literally flying out the door...

The last day of school today....
Yipeeeee I know without a doubt the kids will be up at the crack of dawn tomorrow after me having to drag them out of bed at the last possible moment for the last week. So excited to have them all to myself again.

Cordy trotted off to school this am with her easter present for her teacher. She helped me with the card and was so proud.... The bunny only just fit (thank goodness)Cordy and I shredded tissue paper for grass to lay in and gave him a Lindt carrot to munch on. Dommie stated it was
"Awwww mama SOOOO QUUUUT"

And for some fun I thought I would share this photo of Lilly and Dominique taken first thing one saturday morning.... The two of them have the same attitude towards the brush. That is they would prefer to never have one touch their hair.

On to some scrapping Project SCRAPWARE #7
Using the scallop circle (my Favourite go to item ever) and the funky tree and a flower as the sun

Well I have to run I am off to spend the day serving happy shiny little faces in the school canteen. Wish me luck.
